TAKS PRACTICE UPDATE
REDUNDANCY REPEALED!
For those Who have passed the TAKS TEST, you do not have to do the TAKS practice.
As an alternative, I will need 3 questions and answers that you have found from ANY post-Secondary Standardized Testing. Examples include the SAT, ACT or the ASVAB for Military.
You can choose to give me three questions from the above mentioned tests or continue to participate in the TAKS Practice. If there is another test that you want to take, ask me and I will look into it.

TAKS Practice
Here is how it works...
At the beginning of class, we review two of the TAKS questions that I handed out in the Two Week Assignments.
You will also find two TAKS questions related to a specific topic. The first Two Weeks topic is Scientific Method. You can find questions in the thick blue Science TAKS workbooks.
Then you will create a TAKS question based off of the Scientific Method.
These will be due at the end of the Two Weeks period.
Here are some resources that you might find useful.
Released Tests. Answer Keys.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2005-2006 October Test Answer Key
2005-2006 Fall Test Answer Key
2003-2004 Science TAKS Answer Key
These resources and more are located at the TEA website: released TAKS tests.

Sawyer Introduction
Welcome to the online supplement of Mr. Sawyer's Physics and IPC class.
If there is class specific information, use the tabs at the top to select your class.
The first piece of information is my class guidelines. These will be available to you in google docs.
Here is a link to Sawyer's Classroom Guidelines.
It covers the topics of materials needed, classroom expectations, grading, and tutoring times.
So we understand what class is like...
At the beginning of Two Weeks, I will hand out all the assignments that you will need for that Two Weeks. I will present specific material at various times within those Two Weeks. Your goal is to complete the assignments before the due date. If you turn it in early, I will grade it and you can correct it up to a 90 if necessary!
I hope this will help in giving you control of your education.
